Where to get pistons? I need a set of STOCK pistons and rings, preferably for less than a hundred dollars, but hey, I need 'em, so I'll pay out the ass if I have to. I need the stock pistons, not bored over, which is what I mostly find.
Thanks for all the info, I'll probably just get an OEM one, but either way, I may as well go ahead and start tearing it down. I'll probably go ahead and replace the base gasket while I'm at it too.
Does anybody know of a good aftermarket head gasket for a '72 Honda CB450? Mine blew out on me today going down the highway and I was wondering if there were any good modern ones seeing as how gasket materials and stuff has come a long way in 40 years.
In a year or two I'd say a Kawasaki Versys, it's up there with the Bandit in the "Bang for the Buck" department. It's a little too new in the US to be able to get one as low as 3K, but easily 4.5K, so in a year or two... 8)
Yeah, when I first saw it I wasn't too crazy about it, but it's grown on me, and the nice thing is that that whole seat and tail is built on the stock pan, so it still locks and pivots up.
