And finally, manual is wrong. My model and year does not use the mark on the case. case closed!

If anyone is reading, all the valves are within spec now. Timing still doesn’t work so something is off.

Absolutely. It's a little rough and one cylinder was low on compression and burning oil. That's all taken apart now and just waiting for some gaskets.
