Yeah i MIG'd it all, its easier and the welds end up nicer.
The original tank has been modified a little bit but this is what it looked like when i got it.
If you will regret losing the gold and your not confident in painting it yourself, save the cash and get it touched up.
Personally i really like the bike in that colour
The light bucket has since been trimmed off, for some reason the light looks a bit odd in the pics but looks good in person. I'm happy with how it looks sitting on the bike, I just need to build some mounts for it.
Now the fun begins with the bodywork.
I would just ask a painter what it wold cost and save till I have enough.
I like the gold and it looks like it is in good condition. Just put up with it stock until you have the cash. I don't think any other colour would look right.
