I think you may have misunderstood the post. I am in Australia and as far as I am aware, the bike is an Australian model although I guess possible import from UK(who knows). My chain has 86 links.....all advertised replacement chains in the US and Australia have 88 links. Only ones with 86 links...

Currently rebuilding a Honda CB200 twin, original build around 1974 (Australia) I think, and when ordering a cam chain, many places say it is 219H-88L. Meaning is a certain size chain with 88 links. However, I opened the engine and counted the links to be 86, not 88, the 219H being the same...
