    1978 Goldwing Cafe project

And here is what she looks like at present after a week of those downturned clubman bars killing by back. I painted the panels flat olive drab, painted the pipes black, painted the bars black and turned them around and up a little. I want to maintain that low profile look with the bars without...

    1978 Goldwing Cafe project

This is going to be a new venture for me. Actually customizing a bike to my liking. This is my third bike. My first was a 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan Drifter. The second was a 2007 Buell Ulysses. Needless to say the riding style of this 78 Goldwing took a little getting used to but it's growing on me...

    Tall riders unite!

True. I have yet to be on a bike that I thought was too big. I guess I just don't want to look like a monkey humping a football going down the road.

    Tall riders unite!

I have a guy who wants to do a trade deal. My 2000 Vulcan Drifter 800 for his 1979 GS1000. He said his 6'7" brother can ride it in relative comfort. So surely I could. Plus it already has clubman bars on it! Both bikes are in good shape....should I be asking for some money with that deal?

Are you in the Dirty? (attn newbs)

Hey guys. I hail from Northeast Georgia and I'm just getting into cafes after years of riding a Vulcan Drifter. Looking for a decent already built cafe or a good sized bike to turn into one. I'm 6'3" 240 so I'd like to avoid being folded up on the bike if I could. Good to be here!

    ** WELCOME to DTT**

Hey all. I'm just getting into the cafe racer scene. I've ridden cruisers for years and am, quite frankly, bored with them. I'm currently searching out the right bike for me to customize. Needing one that will fit me......somewhat. I look forward to learning more about this awesome style of...

    Tall riders unite!

Sorry to bump such an old thread but it's very applicable to me and my current situation. I've fallen in love with the cafe racer style but I do want to be relatively comfortable since I plan to ride my bike 108 miles one way to work 2 days a week. I'm 6'3" and 240 lbs. Will a CB 750 work for...
