    74 TS185: Smokin' Enduro

Your mom goes to parts polishing college. Does anyone feel like a polishing wheel gets their aluminum looking too shiny? I hand sanded and used mothers polish on my 360 and it gave me more of a brushed look.

Also, The fork boots make it very difficult to run a front fender. They may be coming off if safety becomes an issue. Too bad, I feel like they sorta pull the front end together aesthetically.

Keeping it original for the most part. Keep me informed on what you come up with for a modified seat though.

Thanks for checking in you guys. I love the feedback. I'll probably go with some inexpensive dual sport kenda rubber like this. . This bike will never see a trail. I know, it's sorta like locking a neighborhood cat indoors. I forgot to mention that the bike was a one or two kick cold start...

    74 TS185: Smokin' Enduro

Got everything taken apart in a few hours a couple of Saturdays ago. Currently, there's a five gallon bucket full of parts at the Powdercoater along with the frame. They're ready for pickup this Friday. Meanwhile, the wheels are fully dismantled and I've started in on the most tedious task of...

    74 TS185: Smokin' Enduro

Here we go again. This kick ass two stroker caught my eye back in February. My GF and I drove up to Pittsburg to snag it even though it was a bastard bike without a title. I had to have it. The fella I bought it from is actually a DTT member so i know he'll be watching this which is sorta cool...

Well, if he said brazing is the way to go, then I'd say that's the ticket. Thank you, thats good to hear. I've always been a little OCD. This bike is just therapy.

Completely disassemble and sandblast the chrome off. That's pretty much it. The powder will hide a lot of the dings. Most powdercoating businesses also do blasting.

I've already ditched the tail light you speak of for the bates style one. That one was too good to be true. However, I may leave it as a marker light. It came from Dimecity.

Never thought this day would actually get here. It feels good to have power. I've gone through every wire and the only thing giving me trouble is the horn and a loose hi beam switch.

This handsome devil came in the mail today. Bates-style tail light. Mini-version of the headlight I'm running. I guess that makes me the master of bates-style lighting.

Yes, welding the bolts. Good point on the rattling nuts...I'll probably just use a lock washer.

Post a pic of your latest purchase

Got this last weekend. Road trips to pick up bikes are almost as addicting as the bikes themselves.

    74 CB360 City Bike

Did a little bit of stuff this weekend during a snow day. I mounted my battery box...again. Had to flip it 90 degrees for pod clearance. I managed to retro fit it for use with the existing frame tabs. Here's how I did it: I also ditched my stock rectifier and regulator for the Kohler Combo...
