Im painting my frame and i was wondering if i need this? Its has all the info like mfg date, tire size, VIN, make and model and so on...Just wondering if i need this for legal reasons or if the stamped VIN is enough.

ok so I would like to fix/replace my existing one on my gr650 and I was wondering if anyone knew of another twin cylinder motorcycle that had one I could use...I dont mind re wiring for the new unit. the reason I want to do this is because all of the used ones on flea bay look like they came out...
I have no clue!!! the guy i bought them from said they came off of an xs650 not sure of the year but im in doubt...They are both 18" 36 spokes with DID rims...I want to know because someone had fun with a media blaster and the spokes are SHOT so obviously i want to polish the hubs "aluminum"...
