I'm not really involved with the group anymore so my opinion doesn't carry much weight, but I might be speaking for other people that won't speak up. I have been on many Sunday rides on a handful of different bikes. Some fast and some wouldn't get out of their own way with my fat butt on them...

The parts business is a better route to go in the bike business. The majority buy old bikes and convert them with new parts. Not many actually make or have the machines to make their own parts and are forced to buy them.

Almost have it done. I need to finish the seat, swap the rear wheel out for a clean one, new rubber and she is ready to go.

Was able to get some work done to this bike for the past couple of days. Got everything back together and all new wiring run for kick only, but found there was no spark. Points are shot in it so I have some new ones ordered so we'll wait for a few days and get it running next weekend hopefully...

pretty sure I have a set at the house from a race bike I built. I know the cables are shot on them and they have some wear on them, but if you just need the guts they would work.

Found this bike on CL last week and couldn't pass it up for $100. It was a pretty crusty bike, but the engine is free and it gets spark so it will run. Was able to rebuild the carbs, strip the frame and paint it, clean the forks, clean up the engine, rear shocks. Waiting on some parts and need...

Finally got around to this old cb175 that has been sitting in the shop for months. I got it in a package deal with some other bikes, but couldn't see scrapping it out so we'll make something out it.
