New member budget build CB400A Cafe/Brat or what ever it turns into

It is a paint to lower those kinds of forks. The ones on my Savage are just like that. You have to disassemble them and replace the internal spacers to get them to go down, but it can be done. Here's a great how-to for the Savage forks. Your Honda might be slightly different, but I'd bet the...

    xs500 thingy-mah-bobber- (Rolling teaser pic)

Well from where it stands now, it looks like you've solved your rear-end rubbing problem... Heh.... And it looks like it lower the bike a little bit more and seems to flow with the brat/bobber thing you're going for. Nice solution! Personally, I think the XS500 is an odd choice for this bike, I...

CB 450-CL 450 WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?

For being a "tight budget" project, you've certainly put some time and effort into this one. I didn't see that orange frame coming! That's going to look really good, Man!! I can't wait to see the rest of it. What are your plans?

New member budget build CB400A Cafe/Brat or what ever it turns into

Dropping the front forks in their triple-trees an inch or so, and maybe sourcing out some longer shocks for the rear will really change the stance of that thing a lot! I also love the shape of those tanks; it's just the crazy graphics that ruins them. A simple, clean paint job will keep it from...

    CB450SC Front End Swap

That's going to be an awful lot of front end for a 450 Nighthawk! But it will look pretty sweet when you're done.... I suspect that what you're asking though is best figured out with the pieces and parts all in hand. If you can't do it yourself; take both lower triple trees with steering stems...

CM 185T - The Learning Curve

YEAH! I like it too... Got any info on the inspiration photo? What is that thing and who built it? I love it! Can't wait to see what you guys do with hers!!

    78 xs750 special build

That header looks pretty gnarly, but who knows? it might be useful. Be sure to check it for thin spots in the metal, not just the holes. As long as you're not expecting them to be pretty, they might just work; al least for a while. Wrapping them will certainly cover their ugliness with a whole...

BOSTON CL; '98 GS500 WITH GUMMY CARBS, $750... STEAL IT!!

Some one with at least half a clue needs to steal this bike from this idiot... and make something really cool out of it!! http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/mcy/2977587078.html

    80 cb750

I like the mesh bottom tray; that's stealthy, and it'll keep things cool. Looking forward to the rest!

CB 450-CL 450 WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?

Well, it looks like you've got two pretty solid machines there; it shouldn't be too much work to make a good running bike between them, and the CL exhaust pipes alone are worth nearly what you have in the two bikes combined, even in not-so-great condition, so I say you are WAY ahead on this...

    Suzuki GN400 Scrambler/Cafe Hybrid

I figured as much about the blinker thingie... Swivel tells me that taillight is probably from a BSA Rocket-3. Got no reason to doubt him! A quick google search turned up this replacement lens: http://smmotorco.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=19&products_id=388 Maybe these guys know...

    Suzuki GN400 Scrambler/Cafe Hybrid

Honestly, I'm not sure about the taillight; It's from a BSA; late '50s / Early 60's I think. I found it on Ebay; guy selling it wasn't sure what it was, and I didn't find out until after I owned it. I just did a search for "vintage tail lights" and there it was... I've only seen one or two...

    Suzuki GN400 Scrambler/Cafe Hybrid

I was hoping to do the same thing, but a quick search on Ebay didn't turn up any 2-filament LED replacement bulbs. If you found some LED bulbs that fit these signals, I'd kiss your feet for sharing your source... or maybe just owe you a beer. This is the taillight I am using; it's an old BSA...

    Suzuki GN400 Scrambler/Cafe Hybrid

Your dual headlights are AMAZING!! I love what you've done with this. And by the way, after searching high and low... I got the very same turn signals! I really wanted dual filaments, especially in the rear because I will have a fairly small-ish vintage taillight. (I haven't any new pics to post...

Project Good Enough - Side walk build GT500

Yeah, I can see the aluminum being an issue, but I would think that the stainless you have there wold be fine; I'd probably rubber mount it anyway... it's easy enough to do. I love your sketches, by the way. Can't wait to see where this one goes!
