    Putting out some feelers...

Ok guys, I am unemployed, so I wanted to try to unload an old bike...BASKET CASE I bought a 1976 CB500T about 2 years ago for $500. I broke it down, completely, stripped paint from top of tank, and started stripping from frame as well. I've purchased new, and used parts for it...

    Need help, annoying GL1000 problem

When I bought my 1977 GL1000, it had mismatched rear signals. I decided to get some original matching ones, but still needed the original bolts to attach them to the bike. I ordered a pair from Crescent Moon Cycles, labelled as '75-'77 GL1000 rear signal mounting bolts. I just got them in...

Crescent Moon Cycles, questionable customer service

Needed turn signals for the GL1000. When I bought the bike it had mismatched signals, one stock, and one from a yamaha, rigged to fit. So, I ordered a set from a seller on Ebay, paid $6 for shipping and all went well, received the signals in less than a week. I still, however needed a...

    Pittsburgh, PA roll call

Everyone from the PGH area, please post a response here. I want to see if it may be a good idea to request that the mods create our own section to organize rides/events. It may be a good idea so that we don't clutter the main topic boards with our rantings... anyone from PA, WV panhandle, or...

    NEEDED GL1000 rear signals

Hello, the '77 goldwing I bought had mismatched rear signals. I canabalized them for some saddlebags (needed dual function lights, but bags came with single function), but I'm young, and those bags made the bike look like it belonged to an old fogey...anywho...if anyone knows a source for...

    New pics of the GL1000

Decided to visit my Grandfather today, and shot some pics while in the cemetary: Anyone think I should try to "cafe" it...not quite cafe material, and it will NEVER be a easily handled bike, but it may look cool.

    minor setback...

OK, maybe a major setback Last evening a flash flood hit my street, dumping 2 feet of water in the basement, and probably a foot in the garage. The setback, guess where all of the parts for my 500T were? You guessed it, the garage and basement. Fortunately, my wife had the sense to pick up...

Been a member for a while, got the patch, need t osew it on, etc. etc... BUT, I picked up a new (to me) bike on Saturday. While it's not really a candidate for cafe'ing (I know, people have done it, but I probably won't) it's still a nice old bike with remarkebly lots of get up and go... I...

Anyone know of anybody that does affordable powdercoating in the Pittsburgh, PA area. I wasn't originally going to get this done, but the recent overtime I've been putting in, will probably make it easier for me to do this right....of course, I AM still on a budget, so I still don't want to pay...

    a seat....I know, tall request

Here's the deal, I need a seat for a CB500T. I took the existing seat, and tore it apart down to pan. I was thinking of making a cafe seat using some of the information from this board (great deal of it) My issue, is that I'm not too happy with the shape of the actual pan I have. Now, I...
