Has anyone made a wiring harness from scratch? I would like to give it a try on my 82 gs550. Mine works fine but I eliminated a lot on my bike and there is so much s** t I don't need. Is this hard or should I suck it up and leave well enough alone?

alphdog is right. These are the same carbs. I got a jet kit through 6sigma because I put k&n's on them. The kit worked great.

I just used the stock plate and redrilled holes further back like you did.

anyone ever use chrome paint that looks more chrome than gray? If so, what brand?

Just got some rearsets from monster craftsman. Has anyone mounted rearsets to the original shifterplate on a gs? pics? If not any pics on how you mounted them?
