Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the idle air mixture screw only have to do with 25% throttle or less? correct Are you running pods or air-box? Does the idle drop at all once the choke is disengaged? These bike run best lean.

First ever cafe build progress report

Nice work so far.Keep it up. Not sure you wont have issues with the K&N filter as well. It is my understanding these bikes run best with the standard paper filter. Personally I cant say. Please disregard my PODS. Never mind I see you switched carbs.

I rode up since it is fairly close. meh.... So loud I could hardly hear myself think. Between the Harley's and sport bikers with their rev limiters.

Yep those are probably trash but this is the parts bike and 750 cams aren't as desirable as the 900. As you said I do need to pick up 2 sets of 900 cams. one for each bike.

I noticed that as well. I have a complete good motor so I am not worried about it though. I can't figure out why guys leave these things sit outside. It was sitting right beside a huge building that the motorcycle would have gotten lost in. He could have gotten more $$ out of it if he hadn't...

DCC Mini speedo for '83 cb650

I just got both the 2.5" Speedometer and tachometer. Pretty pleased with them and an easy hookup. Only issue is the tachometer has an LED and the Speedometer does not. So the Tachometer is super bright and the speedometer very dim.

    Are rearsets comfortable?

++1 on position. I rode all last year with the standard pegs. Got the rear-sets and clip-ons on and it is very comfortable. Just be sure you set it up for you, not how you see someone else do it and you will be fine.

Got the rear sets and Clip-ons on. Ordered new gauges and a couple other odds and ends today. Need to find some led's for indicator lights. If you have any good rescouces it woudl be appreciated. Dime city has some but they only have 3 colors I need 4 and would like them al to match.

Hey Junkcafe - Lucky for you you don't live in PA. that bike would never pass inspection without a seat-pad. Nice bike BTW.

Do it yourself. Its not that hard if you are patient. You can have your local auto body supply mix the paint and put it in spray cans for you if you don't have a paint gun. You can buy 2 pat clear in a can as well.

Nice clean build. I almost went brat style with my seat as well. Have actually considered building a second brat style seat for 2-up riding. What type of battery are you using and where is it hidden? up under the tank?
