get a cone shovel or hold out for a slabside shovel

This is absolutely 100% false. An Ironhead is a Sportster. A Shovelhead is a big twin. While the rocker boxes on the early IH's may look like shovels, they aint the same thing.

    Yamaha XS360 Gasket questions

I saw that this morning after putting some more time into my search, thank you sir. I am however learning that STD rings are pretty much non existent. I guess I'll open it up and hope for the best. I would still be interested to hear if anyone knows of any rings from other bikes that may fit...

    Yamaha XS360 Gasket questions

Oh! Bonus question for those in the know: I kicked it over a couple times the other day just for fun... it seems to have reasonable compression (didn't do a test as I plan on pulling it apart anyway) but there is a strange "spinning type of sound that is hard to track down as the kicker...

    Yamaha XS360 Gasket questions

Hey guys! It's been a while since I have been on this forum, and it's good to be back. I'm interested in picking up a gasket set for a friend's '76 XS360, and I'm not seeing a lot of options out there. This is pretty much the only one I'm seeing...

Help me find a replacement throttle cable- RZ350

Hey guys, a friend and I are working on an '85 RZ350 project. When we purchased it it was somewhat of a frankenbike, which has made part sourcing difficult. It has been fitted with dual Mikuni flat slide carbs, and I'm not sure what the throttle control is from- I don't believe it is stock...

    Pocket Rocket - 1978 xs650

I really dig your choice of tank for this bike. If you are liking it, don't let the naysayers talk you out of it. As far as the badge is concerned, why not just ditch the Yamaha logo entirely?
