Nice, I started a post that soon led to a fight. Nobody is a retard here. I fucking hope not cause you ride motorcycles, that would be bad for everyone on the road.
As far as what I have tracked down on my bike it must be a dirty/faulty carb. Now I need to learn to to clean that out...
The float bowls seem fine. Spark plugs are all working. They are all new. How to I see if the float valve is messed up. It's strange cause this happened pretty quick. When I start the bike it takes a little more effort to turn the bike over. Usually it starts cold no problem. When I try...
ok, I took the spark plug that is not firing out. I plugged it in and set it on the eigine block to ground it. I didn't see any spark. Now should I test the line from the coil to the spark plug? I heard that gets crud in it that you can clean with sandpaper.
I have a 1975 CB 750F. I recently had this problem where every 1/4 of a mile the bike would run out of gas. I replaced the fuel filter and checked the line. Everything is flowing ok. Then I started it up and something sounded wrong. Felt the exhaust and the 2 right cylinders were not...
Anyone check out the Venice bike rally today. There were some pretty nice bikes. Lot's of cb750s and little 100's putting around. They should have more events like this in LA.
On a better note that has to do with bikes....There is a Cafe Racer meet up in Simi Valley every monday evening. 6pm-8pm at the Old Susanna Cafe on Kuhner Rd. It's getting warmer, I hear the parking lot will totally fill up.
you should wash the petcock with some soap and water to get the gas off. Turn it on and blow through the fuel side (insert 7th grade jokes here). You should hear air flowing through. if it's a faint air sound take it apart and see if its clogged. Zap it in a plastic with salt water if it's...
Holy Sheep Shit... I live in LA and I had to use a different county (where I grew up) for insurance. You should try something like that. if you live in a major city (seems like it) use a friends address.
I pay $210 every 6 months compaired to something like $600 in LA.
electrolysis ok...
1. Fully drain all the gas and take the petcock off.
2. Rinse the tank out with water...Just have a hose running through...shake it up, keep letting it drain out. Drain the tank out when you don't see that much fuel tainted gas.
3. Get a 5 gallon bucket and fill...
From what you say im pretty sure you have either a gas tank problem or a petcock problem. Take the tank off and unscrew the petcock off. Drain the gas into a 5 gallon bucket. If there is a bunch of rust and metal flakes and shit you need to fix your tank. Go get a Kreem kit to take the rust...
I would run straight pipes with a Honda. They need some back pressure. The guy that sold me my 750f hacked the back off the 4 into 1 and it was hard to turn over. I put this old end piece on with a few baffles and it runs better now, starts easier.
