Today, I laid some mat and cloth on the "lip" of the pan. Giving the seat some upward sweep on the tank when upholstered. The cloth laid down on the pan looks a little rough as I had a family emergency right in the middle of things. A little sanding etc will get it level and smooth. Sent...

Okay. Got a mold made from the back half of my tank. As soon as it warms up a bit more, I'll lay the glass cloth inside of it to get a nice smooth plug. Did a little massaging of the pan to get the right line along the frame. Next step is laying on the glass cloth to the pan to strengthen it up...

Has anyone done this? I'm planning the build of my seat for my 80 KZ750. I was thinking of using most the front portion of the seat pan with the seat lock, hinge points, and the stock rubber supports, and placing fiber glass over it to achieve my seat profile/cowl. Any thoughts on this...

Been long time lurker and fan. I'm finally getting around to the intro. I'm elbows deep into my first cafe build, an 80 KZ750E. Mechanically sound, was a decent rider in it's stock form, but I can't leave well enough alone. Thank in advance for all the info and inspiration. Sam
