what are the clevis extensions you are using?

been 120+ (so it said on the speedo) on my old '79 kz650. that bike was clean, in perfect tune, and not stock. LOT of wind to deal with at that speed...(whether it was anywhere near actual mph is another topic) been 135+ on a pal's v-max when i was much younger and 'invincible'. that was so...

i'm running the rick's set-up (stator+rectifier/regulator) with a hondaman ignition on my cb350, although still stock headlight spec's. the conversion is something i want to do sooner than later. i will say, the new charging system puts out over 12 volts at idle, and around 14.5 at 2000 rpm...

Re: Project 'Annabel Lee' as far as the carb tops, best you can do with that much oxidation is blast them, prep and paint. the chrome is very pitted, at least the right one pictured. for the exhaust rust, my stock pipes were much cleaner, so i used steel wool and wd40. a larger stiff wire...
