    Butt pucker moment

reminded me of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_dog_(ghost) "...The black dog is essentially a nocturnal apparition, often said to be associated with the Devil, and its appearance was regarded as a portent of death. It is generally supposed to be larger than a normal dog, and often has...

    E's 1983 Kawasaki KZ550 LTD Bratstyle Build

Close, But I hate (HATE HATE) when there is that gap between the seat pan and the frame rails. I am planning on cutting the back of the frame off behind the shock mounts and welding in a hoop that follows the arch line of your seatrest part of mock up and then building a seat pan to sit on top...

    E's 1983 Kawasaki KZ550 LTD Bratstyle Build

Hey, great looking color on your first set up. Could you possibly put your stock style tank on with your mocked up seat pan/rear fender? I am actually building the same bike now (1982 550 chain drive) and had plans to build up a similar seatpan style, with slightly taller rear shocks and a...

newest customer build finished and delivered

that was always my plan if i got a small trailer from harbor freight. i didn't like the red color and didn't think it as resistant as a good PC job. same with the wheels. i think the only thing that trailer needs now is some nice aluminum diamond plate decking.

    Triton/Norvin inspired homebuilt project

Re: Triton/Norvin inspired homebuilt project just wanted to add to the comments of amazement at the work you are doing. inspiring stuff. however... not having been around many boxer frames, would you say you think you could set a Ironhead sportster engine/trans in there without too many...

my TURBO CX project soon to begin

i haven't had a chance to go back down there, but i wish i wouldn't have been so hasty to put money down on the deal. guy told me it was a 650 turbo. i'm more interested in finding one of those and i bet if i spent enough time in that yard i'd probably find one. you can actually see the place on...

my TURBO CX project soon to begin

well, the one thing i got going for me with all of the bikes is that I live in AZ. the Nonturbo CX is virtually rust free, same with the CB350 minus the seat pan, and i think the rust on that seat pan is from spending it's life outside and having the seat foam hold moisture to the pan. the...

    gl500 cafe

Its mostly there. not enough to bother restoring the bike for what it was. which is too bad. the fairing is gone, but the appearance of the Core engine and mechanicals is there. now that i've been researching the bikes i wanna go back tomorrow and double check that the computers and what not are...

    gl500 cafe

yeah, i called the junk yard. went and put down on it. its actually a CX650TC and with exception of the fairings it's pretty complete. i'll probably be picking it up around XMAS and storing it up at a friend's with my CX500, and my other projects. its a bit more than i thought i'd be willing to...

    gl500 cafe

hey, i have a CX500 myself, do you have any knowhow with how involved swapping over the turbo bits is? i found a CX500 turbo in the junk yard yesterday and was thinking about buying the whole thing (no fairings, no tank, no seat, tweaked forks and most likely frame, but the motor and turbo bits...
