    Fuel Starvation

will it run with the gas cap removed? Those tiny holes on the bottom of the cap are easily clogged. Could be a venting problem.

    Greetings from Southern Illinois.

I plan on modding as I go, of course I'll have to get a new gas tank so I won't have to wait for paint to dry. A buddy of mine is going to give me some controls off his Shadow that I think I can mold into a rear set. It definitely needs some sort of fairing/wind screen. I also want to shorten...

81CB 650 carb and choke problems

Maybe check the free play in your throttle cables, and check the routing making sure they aren't in a bind. I would crank the idle adjustment screw out at least a turn if the cables aren't too tight.

No Gas in Float Bowls - CV VB44A carbs

All I did was plug the vac line to the carb. I was wondering, has the bike set outside or in a barn with the fuel line removed? If you did that around here the mud dawbers would have that fuel distribution tube filled to capacity. Also, that vacuum pump works on a pulse, so to get it to work...

Honda CB400T running on one cylinder

check the fuel flow from the petcock. If it's just a dribble, try opening the gas cap, if that doesn't increase flow, you may have a clogged petcock, especially if it is a 90 degree. My CB 750 has suffered from both these ailments.

No Gas in Float Bowls - CV VB44A carbs

When I put a set of 81 carbs on my 80 CB750, I removed the vacuum valve and hooked the fuel line directly to the connection next to the no. 1 carb, gravity did the rest, you just have to make sure the fuel cap is venting properly or it will be fuel starved.
