    Cb350 Electric Starter Removal...Batteryless Operation?

I run a 3700uf 75VDC cap on my 350 twin I got from an electronics supply warehouse for $3. As said the charging systems on Hondas aren't that great. They are actually parasitic under around 2000rpms. If I am idling for a while I have to give it a blip, but it just doesn't die on me. Maybe one...

    CB550k -> CB350F pipes?

If it is a 4 into 2, you can you the 350f headpipes and slip the mufflers over the headpipes. There are some clearance issues, but I just used some washers on the foot pegs to space out the mufflers from hitting the axel. I have this setup on my 400f swapped 73 350f.

    cl350 motor question

Sounds like you are talking about the clutch rod. It goes through the engine and pulls right out. It is a long solid metal rod. Yes you can just slide it back in. It will twist and spin in there. I always put a little grease on it before installing it back in. It pushes the clutch pack on the...

    CB450 seat and bars

I run the "SuperBike" version of those bars, bought them off fleabay and I really like them. I can ride all day with very minimal wrist pain. And they give the bike a sharp look. While I love the look of clubmans, unless I'm just going around the block they kill my wrists. I have been wondering...

This is a test of the zombie alert system, only a test.

I'm ready. I have enough firepower to make Rambo jealous, enough food/water/first aid to last a pretty long time. And I drive a Jeep Wrangler with big ass zombie brain-splattering bumpers. I say bring'em,...I'm tired of waiting.

    Anybody home brew?

I'm an all-grainer here. I'm pretty good at the amber ales, and also the seasonal ales. I make a mean christmas brew. I would really like to start doing some pilsners and lager for S&G's. I just lack the refigeration capacity to do so. Anyone have a good easy cheap set-up for those darn bottom...

Suspension bits and Pistons for CB450

So I've got my 73 CB450 down to the bare metal frame, painting tomorrow, and need to start planing out my suspension and motor build. I'm trying to find new shocks and forks that are decent and within my build budget, any suggestions of websites/brands? Also want to overbore the engine to 500cc...

    Checking in from Dayton

I live over by the Rec center. I'm pretty sure that's the bike I am thinking of. What kind of carb issues are you having? Is it the jetting or do they need a full rebuild!? I'm pretty good with carbs if you need some help. Gimmie a holla sometime, my first cafe project is just starting, 73...

Starter Help Needed, It spins, but engine doesn't turn with it!!!!

So I finally started getting to brass tacks on my 1973 CB450. The wiring in my bike was worthless, so got the schematic and started putting it together. I got the starter switch wired in and tried turning the bike over. It sounded like it wanted to start, then I just heard the starter motor...

    who has air filter pods?

I've run pods on alot of bikes, the jetting can be a PITA. Usually I just go up one-two main size(s), (depending on what kind of carb), either shim the needles or play with the clip settings.

    going nuts here

I truely believe in Karma, and one day this guy will be having pineapples stuffed up his butt by a crossdressing one toothed crack-smoking seven foot hampster for all eternity. Mail me the rim and tire, I'll have it put on and sent back to you,....one week...tops.

    CB350 on the dragstrip

He ran an 18.1.. ??? ??? ???. This must be his first time at the track, I thought for sure a CB350 would be a 14.5-15s bike. Seems like the guy eased off the clutch at like 2k rpms, with that bike I bet you could dump it at 9k and not have a problem. Also I'm sure he didn't clutchless shift. But...

    going nuts here

Wow, I can't believe anyone would make someone wait as long as you have. When it's time for new tires for one of my bikes, I just go up to the Kawi place I bought a new bike from a couple years back. I just bring the rims in, and even my own purchased tires, the guy there does them for $10 under...

    Cafe Racer Reliability?

So as I'm pondering the extent of my project(1973 CB450), I started wondering about the reliability of a 30 some year old bike. I really want something I can just get on, and have fun, and maybe make a venture out yonder without having to worry about breaking down. So I'm wondering if I should...
