I have decided to use Rustoleum high performance enamel. I have sprayed some of the smaller parts like the engine mounts and they have turned out great. Everyone that I show them to thinks they are powder coated. It goes on real thick and dries real glossy without having to do any buffing. My...
It does not sound like you are being unreasonable. The quote from his site states that it will go right on and that is what I would expect. Hopefully he has some a solution you overlooked or can get your tank fixed/replaced without too much trouble.
It is 2 inch wrap and I overlapped 1/4-1/2 inch. When I put it on I soaked it in water and pulled it as tight as I could so I think it "stretched" a little. I had a little left over but not enough to be useful.
25' should be plenty. I bought a 50' roll and did the header on my buell xb12r and the headers on my cb350 with it. If you buy black wrap plan on using some vht paint on it. The black wrap looks great until you run it a couple time then the black start so fade. The cht make the color last much...
Thanks Von!! That is exactly what I was trying to find. Now I have one on the way. BTW how was the length compared to the stock cable. It would be nice if it is a little shorter becase the clipons sit much lower than the stock bars.
I am trying to get my bars all set up on my cb350 and need some levers and perches. The only universal type I can find and for dirt bikes and do not have a switch for the brake light. Is there any universal switch that I can get for a cable brake or does anyone know of a perch for a cable brake...
They look like would function just find, but look almost homemade. Fast from the past has Tarozzis for 169. I don't know if 40-50 bucks is worth it. Also is looks like you would either have to wait forever or pay an arm and a leg for shipping (they are in Fance).
That thing has given me a few ideas. It looks like it started as a yamaha dirt bike. I keep seeing more and more of this. Guys take a motard dirtbike, change the sub frame, the tank and strip it down to make a cafe/fighter type bike. It is taking a modern design and making is look like an older...
+1 on the bar weights. Basically you are changing the resonate frequency of the bar system so they shouldn't vibrate at that rpm/speed. I would also make sure your wheels are balanced correctly and your carbs are properly synchronized. All these things should minimize your problem.
I know the manual for my cb350 calls for atf but I think that it was printed before there was such as fork oil. I plan on putting some 20 wt in when I rebuild them. I don't see there being a problem as long as I flush them before I fill them.
I have come to the same problem on the rear of my 350. I started a thread about a month ago asking about a hugger fender on the rear. Someone suggested using part of the front fender. So I took it one step farther and used part of the front fender as a mold (that chopped off to shorten it) and...
Derringer cycles makes some cool bikes. I found out about them a few months ago on some blog and at that time they had prices on there site which i think were about $3500 to start. They will make one custom but the price keeps going up. I think it would be cool to find and old schwin at a flea...
Airtech sells the foam in sheets and also Die cut for some of their products. You might be able to find something precut that would work but worst case you can just buy a sheet and do it yourself.
The ninja 250 thing is a good idea. I can't quite imagine how it would look on a cafe a bike but I am throwing around the idea. I need something to keep stuff off the engine and carbs but haven't seen anything that looks that good. I am going for light weight and trying to keep that open look...
Does anyone know of a rear hugger style fender for a cafe bike? I have only seen these on modern sport bikes with 180-190 rear tires (way too wide for my cb350). Maybe a sporty bike form the 80s had something like this but with a 120 or smaller tire? Anyone know?
I just got one of those kits for my 350. It looks like good stuff but it is not a complete kit. It only has the screws that you can see when the engine is all togeather. It does not have anything for the points or cam bearing blocks or anything else any deeper in the engine. If you are just...
