Hi Rez,
The fibreglass seat came from a company in Brisbane Australia, they are now available via ebay i believe.
I will find out more details for you and post asap.
The white and grey leather trim/seat pad I did myself (the white leather is actually a sleeve from a letterman type jacket, ha...
Thanks Nabzy,
I decided against clip-ons in the end mate, I did actually like the feel of the bars that are on it after a bit of a ride, quite comfy.
Cheers for the comments.
Jase :)
Sorry for the delay guys and gals,
I have spent lots of time sourcing parts because this build started with only a frame wheras the last build started from a complete shitheap (sorry, bike).
Will keep you all informed.
Cheers Jase. ;D
Re: Boingk's Kawasaki KV100 [Seat & new tyre]
Hey Noink,
Looking great mate!
Whilst you are doing metalwork, howz about making a "dummy" piece to make the original tank look longer? maybe with some knee dents?

Hello All,
Just so amazed to be nominated, feeling very humble in this company, awesome bikes!!!
After coming across this site, and reading all of the stories, builds, advise etc, I was def going to build a cafe.
I bought the KH for $300, looking like a supermodel in a brush painted gold, and...
Re: JANUARY 2010 DO THE TON BIKE OF THE MONTH - NOMINATIONS!
WOW :o :o :o
To be nominated in company like that with my little kwak, I am just blown away. :-[
Thanks Boink, and JohnnyC
Cheers Jase
Thanks for the suggestion Mate ;D
I think you are right, and the second (orange) tank, being all flat or non metalic colours would look better flat rather than gloss clear, however, the 53 red and blue tank is exactly the look I was after.
I wanted 53 to look as though it was deliberately...
Hello again,
Just playing around on the weekend with another KH tank, and this is what I came up with (Still yet to be clear coated).
Hope you like it,
Cheers Jase
Thanks Mate,
The frame is going to be a hard tail.
The plan is to have a rigid frame (7inch stretch), forward controls, sprung seat , and hand shifter. ;D ;D
Cheers for the feedback :)
Jase
Thanks Guys,
The tank took me about 30 hours of painting, sanding, peeling, denting, scratching, baking, some headache pills, painting, chipping...................and then clear coat. ;D
I must admit, I am quite happy with the result.
Cheers Jase.
Hello All,
I enjoyed building the KH cafe so much, I have started another project.
A KH100 Bobber! It may seem a strange bike to Bob, but I think it will be cool 8)
I hope you like so far.
Cheers Jase
