Yeah, I know, but I have one thing going here, this is my bike, I've put many miles on it. I didn't buy it to build it. it was sitting around, and I decided to cut it up and make it nicer!
I have had my '82 Yamaha Virago (XV920J) for about 13 years.
it has remained mostly stock for the whole...
Things of note:
Drop in SV650 fork swap with wheel, rotors. $200
Aluminum swingarm with shock mounts
Rear wheel, sprocket carrier machined to line up the sprockets $100
Unused MAC 4-1 $200
Carbs are clean, I got the bike running before tearing it down.
Pretty much everything you see there...
this is a 1975 CB 550 Cafe/modernization project.build thread is in my signature
1975 CB550 frame and engine
2001 SV650 Forks, Wheels, Brakes, Controls, rearset.
1986 ninja aluminum swingarm modified for dual shocks, rear sprocket carrier modified so the chain would line up.
Brand new ($350)...
this is the second time I have dealt with Big Rich, good guy!
first time he sent me some risers for NOTHING
and the second time I bought a very very nice tank got it in great shape, in good time
Thanks again man!
it's a '64 Suzuki K10
80CC 2 stroke, 6HP
no title, or seat, wrong tank, stupid cheap, it rolls, but that is about it
I dont think i would do too much to it, get it running, clean it up, and have a cool, little, old bike to have (slow) fun with
has anyone actuated a rear push master cylinder with the stock drum type actuator?
I now have a SV650 rear wheel and brake caliper with the SV master cylinder, i would like to keep my stock controls and somehow actuate the MC but i need to actuate UP and the stock controls actuate forward...any...
My top triple clamp has no risers, so I can;t mount my bars, so I can;t finish my project up.
does anyone have a set of risers, single bolt mount, 7/8" bar that would be willintg to part with them?
these are something like I need.
thanks!
I have an '86 ninja swingarm I am going to run on my 550, it is only slightly narrower than the stock part, so I will ned to make spacers (approx 5 mm each).
my question is, do I center the swingarm in the frame, and then use spacers on the axle to line the chain up, or do I center the wheel in...
