Based on what others told me, powdercoat holds up best because it isn't as porou. Regular clear will let oxygen through.
Ideally I would like to powder, but there's a filler repair on the other side that will melt. I also just coated the inside with Caswell...
I've heard clear may not stick and metal might rust under it...
I'm tempted to spray 2k over this as I think if left bare it will scratch, do you think...
I had an SV650S with fairing...from 2004 to 2012.
It was a work horse. Ultra reliable. Good torque and fast enough (did a 520 conversion and pipes). You can also use regular unleaded. Probably the best compromise between a comfy DD and a supersport I4 bike.
