So I picked up a 1982 XR500R for a song and a dance because they couldn't pay me to help them fix their other bike. Last year got it up and running and the bike pulled like a freight train. Ran like a top for about 60 solid miles, got back to the truck loaded and the next weekend when some...
Helped a family member fix his cb360 a while back and offered this XR as payment. Haven't had time to work on it till now and it's got a couple issues.
After kicking it over for about fifteen minutes I got it to fire up and it ran horribly but it ran. Pulled it in the garage started pulling it...
Ha ha thanks guys.

Apparently does all the lights from the engine power. totally worth the $2500
Made some new barstools for the house. All the steel is 3/16" for the legs and the rest is 1/8". The center screw is 1" ACME thread and matching hardware with a 1" Wormy Maple top
Just inherited a new front end for the bobber once I eventually get to work on it. Not sure what it came off of and I will have to do a little wire wheeling to get the info on it.
Not to throw a wrench in the mix but I am pretty sure the BS32 carbs on my 81 gs750 do have cross drilled holes on the jet. I can double check tonight if my memory doesn't bomb out on me.
From what I understand tuning these carbs with pods are an absolute mess, so hopefully you get it right...
New ignition switch because some jackwagon thought my bike should be theirs and the screwdriver and makeshift key they made wouldn't work. My favorite was that they tried to hotwire it by shorting two of the power wires together. :o
I would be interested in something like that. Find a place to mount it on my motorcycle and ride next to people texting/facebooking and just smile! I'm a dick like that.
