im with Big R. I left my starter i remember i was thinking about eliminating it and i found a nice machined piece somewhere... im sure if you google, or even search this site for starter plug youll find something promising.

I recently completed a pretty mild cafe project on my 1971 cl350. I figured i would post some pics and see what you guys think. If you have questions about anything just let me know i took pictures of everything.. i just feel too lazy to post them all up right now. Everything isn't quite tied...

iron heads are finicky and very different from metric bikes. constant adjustments and what not. push rods always gettin fucked up leaking oil... but thats an iron head. my brother has one and loves it.. i love it too its a fun little bike. are they both soft tails right now? but to answer...

thanks for the replies guys! also, is there a trick to getting the old tired shrink wrapped wires out of the stock bars? ive been pushing and pulling on them for the last hour with little to no progress.. help would be appreciated!!!!!

What do you do with the wires that ran through the stock handlebar controls? do you run them outside of the clipons or should i cut holes in the bars to run them inside? thanks guys. Phil
