I installed the chop plugs- they look GREAT!!!!
Now I have to figure out a tag bracket. I have a seat cowl coming, and even found paint that looks good enough to match the Dark paint!!!! 8)
I am going to have an aluminium Roccitycafe cowl made as soon as I get a few more $$$
I did see that he had 45 days to make a complaint, and 45 days would have been in July.
I also got positive feedback on transaction, as well.
Does anyone know if he can still make a claim at this point?
Maybe all 900 SS SP swingarms eventually cracked!!!! I never heard of this; however, I am thinking that the "custom frame" is a story...He claims to have had a custom frame made, which sounds fishier and fishier. The more I think about it, the less likely I am to do anything, including respond...
If this was honestly a deal where the swingarm was cracked, then I feel truly bad for him; however, he waited until NOW to quibble? I am just in a quandary- I don't want to be a bad dude; however, I still feel like he is shaking me down. Unfortunately, I didn't have great pics of the swingarm...
I stated "no refunds/returns" on my auction. Like I said, I think this guy is trying to shake me down. I told him to send pics and maybe we could work something out. But the more I think about it, I think I am being shaken down.
I think I have narrowed it own to the stretch of road, as other roads are fine.
I also think it's what you're used to, as well as handlebars, riding position, and such.
I sold some parts from my 900 SS. The swingarm was paid on 14 June, so it's over the 60 day wait period. I get a message today that there's a crack in the swingarm. I know for a fact that there wasn't a crack when I sent it out. I am windering if I am not getting shook down, as this guy demanded...
It must be the roads I ride on; as I rode on some different roads today and it wasn't painful in the least; however, the familiar roads were a bit painful- I had better not turn my head or the wind would nearly give me whiplash.
Maybe it's the fact that the main highway I ride on is quite open (no trees nearby or otherwise). Maybe it is, as well, that my cruising speed is close to 75mph. Again, 50-60 mph is not windy at all.
Re: 1980 Honda CX500 Fighter Project
Ambitious.
I hope you finish yours. The first bike I had in 20 years ended up going onto Craig's list.
Good luck.
