Hey Tolka, sorry about the late post. I believe the noise in the video was the valves, I have adjusted them since. The cam chain clearance and tension should be allright. No news or pics apart from a Harley front fender I'm working on, should be a good fit once I figure out how to mount it.

    GS-550L to GS-674 Frankenbike project

Bike looks great. I think you did the right thing when you replaced the old cylinder blocks, horizontal pitting is always a bad thing for the piston rings. I love that tank, would like to have one on my CX.

You're right for sure, something might seem cheaper in some other country but in some way, the authorities will get their well earned money.. Not judging, just saying.. Anyway, thanks for the comments, guys. Here's a short video of the bike and a quick/narrow view of the Acewell M52 gauge. I...

No, it's still a two-seater, the footpegs are just missing for the moment. I'm still not quite sure if it's 140€ or 280€ per year. Haven't got the contract papers yet.

I think the insurance is something like 280€/year. I haven't "katsastaa" (have it checked for road legality) it, I'm too puzzled about the regulations to know if I need to do it or not. Judging by what I've read, I don't have to do it, but who knows.

Thats right. I figured I wanted to fab a hoop but didnt get any answers from the local machineries. I then decided to do a few slices on the frame and bend it inwards like the seat shape. The bike is now 98% ready and it's back on the road after many long years. I have a few new pics but im on...

    CX500 "Ruffy" (Finland)

A lot of progress has happened. The front brake MC turned out to be DOA so they sent me another unit free of charge, haven't got that one yet. Tried to upholster the seat but it was too difficult so I found a upholsterer nearby and gave her the fabric and the seat. Should be ready tomorrow, I...

You can get decent shocks for 80 something euro from www.wemoto.com. Just enter the model and then you can see the shocks available when you scroll down. I have the one's that cost 80€ but there are more expensive choices as well.

Clip-ons! Hoping to get them on the mail this incoming week. Also ordered a new master cylinder for the brakes, that I'm too waiting eagerly on, then I can put together the front brake and take it for a spin. Actually I already rode it down the road but only with the rear brake.. I've still not...

First off with two different fillet knives and then smoothed out the shape with a sander. Got a huge piece of fake leather cheap so lot's of room for experimenting with it.
