If you have read my Stinger thread you will know that it came with a blown crank. I suspect it was caused by wear to the crankcase where the left main bearing sits. You can see the damage in the pic, the metal has worn away and an edge has formed. It gives a good 0.07mm of clearance in the worst...
The aftermarket pipes on my NSR run a manifold that bolts on to the cylinder, with springs to secure the header pipe into the manifold. The problem is, the springs are on the same side of the pipe, so they apply an uneven pressure to where the header and manifold attach. Therefore it leaks oily...
Picked up this on the weekend. An early 70's Suzuki T125 Stinger. It was a $150 bike so I wasn't expecting much, but underneath the heavy patina appears to be a very original and complete bike. Don't know what the plan is yet, as it was just an impulsive purchase. It will need the top end done...

I'm selling my only working road bike a 1973 CB125 and I can't bear the thought of being bikeless. A 1980 DT175 has caught my eye on our local auction site http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/classic-vintage/auction-553020129.htm.
I know prices vary depending on where you...
Ever since I bought it my 1973 CB125S usually clunks into first gear after the bike has been sitting for a while. I figured that the clutch plates are sticking together. The bike only needs to sit for a couple of hours before the plates stick. I've decided I should try remedy this problem before...
I'm in the process of rebuilding an NSR250. The plastic bodywork is going to get a nice new paintjob. I would have just sanded/scuffed the old paint and gone over the top. However, it's been re-painted before (badly), and the top layer of paint is chipping off. I'd really appreciate some advice...
I'm going to attempt some repairs on my NSR fairings. There's quite a bit of info on the subject floating around online, but it's hard to know what's going to give a quality result, and what's just a more of a cheap fix. I'm after any advice, or recommendations on plastic repairs from those who...
Time to update the front page with the progress so far:
What we have here is a 1987 Honda NSR250 MC16, the MC16 was the first of the popular, but somewhat rare (depending on where you live) NSR series. The design of the bike borrowed heavily from the World Championship winning 250cc machines of...
Hi, 21 year old student living in the paradise down under. I've been riding bikes for about five years and wanted to do a custom build for a while.
Stumbled upon this site near the end of last year, and was inspired by ffjmoore's big blue to do a CB125 cafe. I bought an old rusty '73 CB125, and...
