I did the following:
1. Charged the battery
2. Changed the spark plugs
3. Adjusted the points (they were a little off on one side)
4. Adjusted the mixture slightly
Fires on the first kick (everytime) again. I think it was just a combination of things that individually were fine, but...
I am currently at work, trying to earn money to invest back into this machine..
Thanks for all your input guys, you all seem very knowledgeable. I will start with a new battery and then if I need to advance I'll take the carb off and check the jets.
Please keep the suggestions coming tho :P
The bike drips a little bit over night, it looks like it comes down the shift arm. I thought it was just the gasket ring that goes around there... Is it a bigger issue than that? Probably?
I was ticking of cleaning the carbs this weekend
I noticed one of the mufflers is clickier, while the other one purrs... I dont recall this happening in the past. Is that an indicator of gunk in the carb on the clicking exhaust side? Or is that something completely different?
Hey everyone..
I have a suzuki gt185 that runs like a beauty.. until yesterday.
It usually starts on the first or second kick with the choke on, after a couple minutes I take the choke off and it idles at around 1.5~1.7k.
Last night I took the bike out and it had a harder time starting...
I randomly came across this - I guess PAMCO has released the long awaited electronic ignition system for cb360s. Here is the link
http://www.cb360ignition.com/
I wish it was a little cheaper - at this price point there is also this one to consider too if youre thinking of getting yourself one...
Re: cb360 general quotation
sorry I meant should I be planning on doing a top end rebuild, I'm not asking if I should just dive in and start rebuilding before doing more tests... I'm just looking for your thoughts options and guesses
hi I have a non running cb360, I'm getting 150psi on each cylinder ( haven't checked valves, haven't done oil test yet) and this is on cold engine. it's about 10° outside. what do you guys think?
when it's warm and running any guesses at what compression should read? I've been told...
thanks VY, i am surprised that the vm28s are so much than the 30s.
i agree on the throttle cable note - its not something i want to cheap out on, especially if i am investing in new carbs.
what are your thoughts on the velocity stacks? is it risky putting those bad boys on an every day bike...
sure, thanks mark.
also i do not have my mind set on the branded filters... i may even go the velocity stack route. i havent decided that yet. i am just confused with what carbs to get if i am not happy with whats stock
