Anyone runnin steering dampers on their cafe?

I have one I found rummaging around in old parts my dad has, I'll probably use it. Even though the DT360 is small, I figure it can't hurt, and will look cool. Probably a good idea anyways, with how much I have changed the geometry. Rake is a few inches shorter now. Plus it's free. Heh. Matt

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle Wow. Been a while. I have been lacking on updates for several reasons, been busy with school, been busy with not being busy. Mostly though I have been waiting on the handlebars to come in so that I could decide to keep or move the footpegs. Also, I have...

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle Yeah. That's what I would guess...But it is the only thing I could think of. It was also baked to removed the original powder, that could have done it as well. Who knows. I suppose it could have just happened to go then. Anyone know any good anodizing...

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle I haven't had any issues with chipping...only thing I have ever had powdered was a pedal bike frame...it was odd because it bent in half about 2 weeks after it got powdered...despite me having used it for years previously...And I didn't do anything...

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle Thanks everyone...Yeah, it has it's upsides, living in a garage...It also has it's downsides. Driving a mile to take a shit at the local walmart, for instance. But we are putting in a bathroom as soon as we have the money. Personally, I love living in the...

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle Haha. But dig the seat quite a bit. And I am hellbent on using the tank...After all the hours I put into it. I really do think they will come together once I get it all together. I understand how it doesn't fit with the look of a cafe racer, but I think it...

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle I very much appreciate the feedback, because it brings up different ideas and perspectives on what I am doing, possibly giving me ideas, or pointers on techniques. And it is genuinely interesting to hear other peoples opinions. That being said, I have a...

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle I can still trim more off of it. Quite a bit more. I am going to get it as close as I can. And if I'm not happy with it then, I will buy a bigger tank. It's getting pretty close to what I want it to look like. I do like how the smaller tank exaggerates the...

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle Well, I got the seat cover modified how I wanted (Might still tweak it a bit, but we will see) I split a diamond shape out of the center of the seat (I marked a point at the edge of the seat, right before the but stop, and one point in the front of the...

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle - Starting to pull apart motor - pics The tune pipe is from a 250cc, not a 500. Or did you mean my bike? That's 360cc. Yeah, the seat is a bit bigger than I thought, but I love the integrated taillight, so I am determined make it work, and I have some...

Re: An Introduction, and a Motorcycle - Found a tune pipe - picture It's from a 250 something, at least thats what they thought. I figure that even through it's designed for a smaller engine - which would mean the rpm it effects would be lower if put on a engine of larger displacement, it is...
