Anyone ever try anything of this nature?
I imagine there would need to be new mounts welded for the smaller engine. Just curious how difficult it would be and how long I could expect it to take. If it takes too long, probably wouldn't even consider it, but I figured I'd ask before tearing the...
Re: 1979 10th Anniversary CB750 Part Out - PLUS OTHER GOODIES!
Yes, the badges are removable. I do still have the regulator, but it looks like the original one that came with the bike. Not sure if it works or not, but it can be yours for a $10 bill (and if it doesn't I'll refund you the money).
So, I had a dream. A dream to build a beautiful CB750 Cafe bike and have an epic build thread on DTT. To go to bike nights and be the shit. To be the baddest mother fucker in Central Ohio. Sadly, after a series of MANY unfortunate events, I find myself at a stand still and unable to move forward...
And reality sets in... I've really just procrastinated a bit too long. I'll have to head over there and see what course of action I can take. I really hate Ohio's BMV, and I'm not looking forward to dealing with the headache their employees impose on me every time I set foot in that building.
I'm in the same situation, except my vins don't match up :-X There's an 8 on the frame where the title says there should be a 0. I'm assuming this is some sort of clerical error? I'm REALLY excited to go to the BMV and have them look at me like I have three heads.
I'm in Lancaster too, actually. I took my CB750 to Driven on Coonpath off of 33. They're real cool with a reasonable hourly rate. The turnaround time is a bit slow, but they have some realllllly sick bikes in there.
The frame is out for fabrication as we speak! I am mechanically retarded, so I will be heavily reliant on this forum as well as third party labor to get me through this in (mostly) one piece.
Errm, wrong forum :-X
I've been lurking around for the past couple weeks and figured it was time to lurk out of the shadows and present myself. My name is Geoff, I'm 22 and I'm currently living about a half hour outside of Columubs, Ohio. I bought my first bike, a 1979 10th anniversary edition...
Bought my bike a few moths ago and have been in the process of rebuilding it. The previous owner purchased it in a storage auction and received the Kansas title. He never got the bike in his name, as he tore it apart and never got around to restoring it, or getting to the BMV to have it . I...
Re: 1970 Honda CB450 K3 - Tentatively named "Grey Ghost" Build
Been following on your blog since the inception of the build. You do some impressively thorough work, and I'm excited to see where you take this!
