Can I SprayMax 2K over cured glossy paint?

Are you trying to clear coat over rattle can? Or is it a 2k single stage white? Either way you should sand with 1000 grit. Hopefully you don't have any problems using the 2k spray can clear over top of it. That stuff has so much solvent in it in order to make it sprayable that you have to be...

Gloss black looks really great on the valve cover. With the carbon I think it will complement nicely. By the way I have found similar wear from the cam chain guide on the k5 motor I'm currently working on and plan to just clean the mating surface really well and hope it all seals with new gaskets!

"Woody" a '75 cb750k cafe racer woodgrain paint. Done 4/15!

Thanks y'all. The rearset brackets were rear foot peg mounts from a vt750 then mounted on the frame with chrome 1 1/8" frame clamps. Rearsets are old school speed.

"Woody" a '75 cb750k cafe racer woodgrain paint. Done 4/15!

Installed the exhaust tip. It's a weld on type but I made 4 slits at the base and was able to clamp it on with a stainless v band clamp. Worked out nice and has a megaphone-ish look. After my last ride the front brake is sticking so I've ordered a new seal and set of pads and will take it...

Looks like the surface should mate and seal together okay to me. Wouldn't hurt to get a new guide

I missed it last year for a wedding. I was there the previous year but the bike was "finished" to a much different level then! Was there another this year? I must have missed it.

I've ordered a magnaflow 12" exhaust tip as well. It is not a megaphone like I wanted but a straight extension and it should help it look more finished. Will use a stainless v-band clamp to hold it at the head pipe.

You may need to get a 10mm banjo to 4AN fitting and a 4AN braided hose I remember it taking a few hours to find exactly what I needed

Thanks it's a m10 to 4AN fitting purchased from "xaturbo" on ebay. line is a 24" 10mm banjo to 4AN . You will want it a few inches longer if you have not lowered the front end. This is the closest I can find looking now, but it's in China...

I've searched high and low for a long chrome megaphone. Without buying a complete exhaust it seems hard to come by. Any leads??? It's approx. 2.5" outlet off the head pipe.

Wow what a good film pattern. It looks so real with the individual strands. The process is called hydro graphics or water transfer printing if you just put that into youtube you can see how it's done!

That triple clamp should come up nice after polishing! Nice progress on the motor. Are you planning to paint the cases and jugs/head black again or go with an aluminum color?
