    I have never tried the Kevlar thread before... This thread is a wax nylon thread, its used for leather sewing especially moccasins and other leather, from my experience it has proven pretty heavy duty... However on that note I don't now how it will hold up to the elements. Let me know how that...

    Since I have now finally caught up my blog with my build... I am currently working on the seat upholstery. Using the same leather you can see on the tank. I plan to hand stitch the whole shebang with a sewing awl. (since this leather is fairly thick and I don't have a nice industrial sewing...

    Now the paint... Both were DuPont professional paints... The body was a flat sage green and the tank is a glossy off white... First time painting with spray-guns and respirators... Came out great for a rookie :P PS. Pictures keep flipping upside down... but you get the picture (no pun intended:P)

    Ok I also solved the issue with my tank and petcock by cutting off the tank brackets and moving them back... Replacing the big gaping hole with some steel pipe... After all the miscellaneous fabrication that I had done. I decided I was ready to paint. So here are some pictures of the cleaning...

    Alright.... I am back :P A lot has happened in these last months so I'll post all my achievements :) I decided to hack the end off... since I needed clearance... I modified the end to a point so I would have maximum clearance with the battery tray...

    And I also mounted my tank using a hinge and some bolts makes it easy to take the tank off..

    So I have some finishing touches on the seat and tank, the seat I added some bolts to have a secure mounting system which go through the tabs on the frame I also ground the seat with a finer grit... so the glare from the seat makes it hard to see the details...

    yes I am going to try and improve on this rear cowl and do an octagonal facet look with rounded edges to match the geometric look of the tank

    haha thanks! :D I finally welded the panels onto the cowl here is what that looks like... Definitely going to smooth this with bondo but it is coming together nicely...
