I absolutely love the direction of this build. I was wondering what year the bike is? I am considering buying a Seca 2 to learn to ride on and get cheap insurance. I think I might redo the rear subframe to try and get something close to what you have there.
Finally got myself into a truck. Grew up driving them but never owned one myself because I could always borrow when needed. All it needs is a hitch and a bike to move...
So I guess my new DD can go in this thread. 2005 Ranger EDGE 2wd V6. Bought it for cheap for its age and mileage. Should be mint after I sandblast the front bumper and do some other minor maintenance. The wheels are my winter ones. It came with the factory one with all season tires. These are...
I absolutely love it. The way the seat continues the line from the top of the tank is something I find missing on a lot of bike builds. It keeps the flow of the bike. I would sport that around town. ;D
This bike looks unreal. That green paint really pops from under the matte black. I am really getting excited for this show. Need to find out how to view it online...
Re: Yamaha FRZ400RR Exup streetfighter project.
Those FZR's have such a beautiful frame, can't wait to see how it looks naked. I'm looking for a local one in good shape for the right price.
Damn that is looking good. Ever since I saw my first picture of a Cafe Goldwing I have like the hefty look they have. Yours looks great when you step back from it. The satin paint is really setting it off.
I can't see this build turning out like shit. You seem to be taking your time with it and are going in the same direction I plan to with my build. Can't wait to see the results. Did you do any CAD type work to figure out the rear suspension geometry and spring rates?
Re: Tim's XS project - Jan 3 2010 - heading towards year 3
This build is unreal. I just read all 41 pages to the detriment of my midterm studying. This gives me so many ideas of what I could do with a bike when I can throw the budget out the window. For now I will have to be content with...
Did some insurance shopping today and found out some interesting things. If I went and got insurance tomorrow on an XS650 it would be 2428 a year. If I got a 400 it would drop $134 per year. If I were a year older and still had only an M1 I would be quoted $1200. This tell me that I can get a...
I actually have one of those as well but it is in rough shape. A friend of mine also has an 84 Celicasupra that we swapped a non turbo 7M into. Been doing the Supra thing for about 6 years now. Don't want to stop but I want to add another hobby. Bikes seem to fit that bill.
Thanks for the...
Hey guys.
Been poking around the site for over a week and thought I should introduce myself. I'm not from Toronto, I'm actually in Oshawa right now for school but Toronto is where people would know. I'm 22 and I am new to motorcycles. Never had more than a minibike growing up as a kid since I...
