One of a kind '75 CB400F for sale

It is with great sadness that I put my beloved '75 Honda CB400F up for sale. It's an amazing little bike with just over 13K miles on it. I did this with the aim of making it look to me like what Honda might have done with a "Euro-only" 400F "R" version. I wanted it to look stock. It is the...

** PICS OF MEMBERS RIDES ** - Official Before & After Thread

Thought I would throw one more into the mix. A '75 CB400F. 13K original miles. Minor lay downs on both sides. Scratched, road rashed, and dented, but in nice shape overall. Complete tune and service, carbs rebuilt. New brakes, tires, suspension, chain, mini turn signals, modified '75...

Here's a before shot of a '77 Goldwing that I picked up for $150 after it sat outside for 15 years. Seized engine with only 6,000 original miles on it. Sad. Love the Samsonite bags and trunk. Pretty hot stuff back in the day. Here's the after shots with everything rebuilt over the...

    My '75 Honda 400F-just completed

I got this little jewel last August from a good friend who just wanted to see it go to a good home. Mechanically, it's perfect..12,000 miles and runs like a Swiss watch..but cosmetically, it was challenged. My friend had already done a complete tune and service including going through the...

Suzuki GS Cafe Racer Collective! Share knowledge.. ask build questions!

Thanks, guys. I feel really lucky to have that S model. It took almost 2 years to get it done, but it was worth it. That thing is a blast to ride. For a 35 year old bike it really cooks.

Suzuki GS Cafe Racer Collective! Share knowledge.. ask build questions!

Of all the motorcycles I've owned/own..this is the only non-Honda. I wanted one of these every since I saw one in a dealership when new back in '79. It took 30 years to find one and after bugging the owner for 3 years, I jumped at the chance to buy it and turn it into this. A slightly...

    Tank Badges

As mentioned above, if you take the badge into an auto paint store, they'll have the correct press in clips for you. They're used like crazy in the auto biz for holding on emblems, then you can take them on and off easily.

It was cool to see both you guys on this site, too. It's a beauty. Some extremely nice bikes and projects going on around here. Pete-I'm painting 3 bikes for a guy in Australia right now. He's a Suzuki freak, too. I would LOVE to come over there some day. Always wanted to see "the other...

I had that 'wing down to every nut and bolt, Maritime. The engine paint was indeed very involved. A sh-t load of sanding.. :P I'd wanted to almost completely de-chrome that thing from the very start.

Hey, Pete. Yeah, I frequent all the "cool sites". I've posted a ton of pics for the CB550F that I have. Always nice to see opened minded people that appreciate different styles and techniques. I can get away with posting pictures of this, too...1977 Goldwing and my 1979 Suzuki GS1000S.

Not sure if I've posted a pic of my '72 XL250 since changing the seat and bars. Used to have motocross bars and a thicker seat, more of a motard. Now it's strictly cafe'.. ;D Way more comfortable this way, too.

    L-ski's '78 GS550

Thanks. I cut 2 inches off the bottom of the foam so it sits lower, and then had a pro cover it for like, $150. The foam is really easy to cut and shape with an electric carving knife. Works great.

    L-ski's '78 GS550

Wow..nice 550! I think the only thing I would do besides the bars, is modify the seat. That's not the original cover anyways. Suzuki's stock seats were hideous to say the least. Too big for the bikes. I have a '79 GS1000S and did that and it made a..pardon.."huge" difference in the way it...

    It's the little things..

I built this '72 Honda XL250 a couple of years ago and decided to make it a little more cafe' rather then motard-ish. I took off the motocross handlebars and thicker seat and replaced them with a seat pad, and some clubmans. The former configuration just sat me too high on the bike. Now I sit...

    JUNE 2011 BOTM - WINNER! RINGO'S LE MANS CB550!

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING Agreed. Every bike is beautiful, nicely thought out and executed. I gotta go with Branden's CB750F, though I might be a bit biased, as I'm the one who painted it.. ;D

    New Project - Honda Mb5

The primer won't hold up to the heat of the exhaust header. I took mine down with some 180 grit and just used VHT brand very-high temp exhaust black. It's held up great.
