Re: these shocks. Mike, Shop Ebay under KZ1000, A seller is listing New repro 13" eye -eye Chrome covered shocks for @ $80.00. they may not be very good, but then, the stock FVQ's werent' either. G

I could be wrong, but thought the vfr700 had gear drive cams. if so, making it one of the more desirable VFR;s of the era. carb cleans on all were a a pain, do it once,& leave intake tract stock. luck g

This will probly be met w/derision, but. In my opinion, the cost/prep required for powdercoat is greater than it's longevity value on most parts. Lower fork legs? sure. Frames/swingarms, not so much. especially if running fenders. and if building a museum piece, NO. just my 2 c G.
