    Pjdaves DRZ 400 scrambler

How much clearance do you have between the triple clamps and front fender at full compression? Any mods to the forks to limit travel? Love this bike!

Kawasaki Z440 K4 "FlowTracker" - From Cafe to Tracker

I see pipe wrap and a heat shield. Seems legit to me. No need for a fender due to the overall intent of the bike. I love it. That front drum/wheel looks killer in all black.

    Tank dent removal methods

How about filling the tank with water and letting it start to freeze? I've popped dents out of dirt bike exhausts that way...just don't let it freeze solid or it may bust the tank...it may take a few gentle freeze-thaw cycles to avoid warping the tank... I'm full of bad ideas if you have other...

    CB900 Scrambler - Rally Approved!!

Pretty much just ride it and smile! The extra height with the other suspension setup was a bit too much. Low CG is the best thing going for it on fast gravel roads. It has some dirt that is baked in here and there but it really suits the character of the bike. I like that I don't have to really...

    1981 CB750F - Tail Hoop Geometry

Looks about right. Keep in mind that how you mount your tail light/plate will effect the lines too. It will look longer once those are mounted. Also, if you go for a completely flat seat pan the rear tire will rub at full compression. You can either limit travel on the stock shocks or make that...

    cutting old tires off rim

So by "Man Up" you meant that he should get a bead breaker and some robust tire irons and maybe a decent stand and maybe a big dead blow hammer...I thought you were just telling him to try harder. ;D

    cutting old tires off rim

Step 1 drink beer. Step 2 create rim protector from empty beer can. Step 3 apply lube...now more lube...more. Step 4 grab 24" tire irons Step 5 magic happens Step 6 drink more beer and bask in the glory of your empty rim Step 7 sit back and wait for the money and internet fame to appear Or...

    cutting old tires off rim

The tires on my 900 where hard as a rock so rather than wrestle them off the rim I cut a chunk out with a band saw then cut the steel belt in the bead with a cutoff wheel.

    CB750K - First Build

Fork tubes should just slide out past the seal once everything else is out. Puller harder. ;) I think the rear axle on my 900 was pretty well stuck in the bearings. I shot some penetrating spray on both sided and let it soak then went after it with a wood block and a big hammer. If the axle is...

modified, aftermarket, or custom. nothing is safe (78 KZ1000)

The fiberglass and other fab work on this build got me motivated to push ahead on my KZ400 despite the frigid garage. Top notch stuff.

    KZ400 full fairing frankenracer

Back to working on the KZ400 seat/fender. Sqeezing that in as I continue to get the KZ1000 back in shape. This came out of the KZ1000 tank on the first shake with a length of chain...the carbs were a bit gummy too as you might imagine.

I have a set of 76 carbs laying about. I'll check to make sure it's there.

    1975 CB360

Looks like those are aluminum dirt bike handlebars. The anodized coating on those bars may not be conductive. In that case you could run a gnd wire from the metal clamp on the switch housing to one of the bolts on the triple clamp. Since the switch will be the gnd for your headlight as well...

    1975 CB360

I like to the overall vibe of this bike. I vote the tank either stays the same color or gets put on a shelf as art. The case on that switch is the ground so it relies on the fact that the whole frame of the bike should be a common ground. As long as it has good electrical contact to the bars...
