I have done this on my xs. The orginal couldn't keep the tiny battery charged at idle and you could watch the battery voltage drop. I used a Yamaha Banshee timing plate, Yamaha Banshee Rotor, Honda VF500 stator and Honda VF500 R/R . Making a whole lot more voltage now. The only prolem is...

The early Honda xl250 uses a cable for the rear brake, maybe something to look at.

My 70 cl450 uses two seperate cables. Does not use a splitter like the cable pictured.

Yes it can, I have a bike like that right now. The cl450 that I have doesn't exist in the MTO records. As far as they are concerned it is a virgin. The affidavit is more so to prove that you have become the rightful owner via legal means.

First thing you need to do is get the UVIP from the Ministry. This will tell when it was last registered. If it was many years ago it is easier to get the paperwork. If you can get a ownership history, who you bought it from, who he bought it from and so on ( will have to go on the affidavit...
