Frame detabed, swingarm blasted and rear wheel sort of torn down. Having a little trouble getting the hub apart

Here we go again! This will he my second TX/XS 500 cafe style bike. Gonna try to give it a TZ350a look without the front fairing. Got this bike as a parts bike from my uncle since my 73s motor decided to shit out its head gasket.

Can anyone help me with what and where i can get the tool required to remove the clutch hub retaining bolt on a 75 xs500 rear wheel. thanks

Gonna ride the piss out of her and rebuild the motor I have sitting on the bench. Then redo the "parts" bike I received from my uncle while finishing my bros bike.

Year 2 with my 73 Yamaha. Had a few issues with the engine since I got her. Lucky me my uncle had a 75 xs500 that has been sitting since 1982. Oil change new plugs and a swap into the 73 frame and it fired right up

Just got done putting the factory airbox stuff on and wasn't sure if anyone had the specs

Any Yamaha TX/XS 500 people out there can tell me what mm size pod filters for my carbs. Thanks for any help, also does anyone know of a after market 2-1 exhaust for these bikes

Thanks for all the info, I was getting worried that the tires i just bought were not going to work. I did a little info gathering before but i was having doubts

Still waiting for spring to get here! At least the man cave has some heat so i can do a little work inbetween shoveling snow.

made new turn signals out of the old ones polished up my triple clamp and shot that with clear painted up the swing arm since i removed the rear wheel to get new rubber

I sanded down the tank and then cleared it. i think it looks neat and will try it out for a while .

next I have to get the new rubber put on and then maybe get her out for spring
