    Bent my kickstand

Ok, so a few months ago I loaded the bike up in the back of a box van when I moved across the state with the wife. When I had it tied up, for some reason I thought having the kickstand down was a good idea. Well, the bumps from ride bent the kickstand tab on my frame making the bike lean too far...

Looking For a Shop in Toledo

Yep, as the title says. I'm looking for a shop with experience working on old bikes to replace the seals and boots on my xs750's carbs. I'd rather pay to have them done right and quickly, instead of attempt it myself - i hate carbs. Any suggestions? I'd rather not use Cycleman, didn't have the...

    Smoke from exhaust?

Was warming up the bike before an oil change this afternoon. I took it around the block (probably about 3/4 mile at the most) and got it back to the parking lot. Let the bike sit for another 3-4 minutes at idle and I noticed that smoke (white) started coming from the exhaust, then it stopped. I...

    Sudden change of behavior

Ok so a little back story- I was out riding Saturday morning for about 130 miles and had to stop and get gas at a station I've never been to in a city I'm not familiar with. I usually fill up with 87 octane on my xs750, but accidently filled with 89 at this station (usually 87 is on the far...

    Brake Fluids- dot3 and dot4

First off- I'm sure you've noticed that I ask a lot of questions and most of them are pretty simple and I just wanted to say thanks for the help you guys have all given me recently! Now- the question. I want to replace the brake fluid because I'm not sure the last time it was done, and the...

Changed bars, now turn signals don't work

Cant find any wires in the control box that aren't grounded, and the wires don't seem to be kinked or anything. High/Low beam lightswitch still works and the horn works as well. Any ideas for me to look for?

    Toledo / Northwest Ohio Thread

I guess its sort of a "spotted" thread. Yesterday, around 11:30-noon at the corner of Dussel and Holland (by Meijer). Saw a guy on a black cafe racer while I was headed the opposite direction on my 77 Yamaha 750. Any of you guys?

    Clutch cable too tight?

My clutch is super super stiff and doesn't seem to be getting any better. Tried adjusting the hand lever adjuster and the one at the clutch as well. Also lubricated the cable and sure it was routed alright without any sharp turns. Any ideas to make it smooth or is it just time for a new cable...

School me on some bikes: KZ and CB's

Hey everyone, new user and rider here. Looking to get my first bike in the next few weeks here and have always been drawn to the cafes and classic bikes. I've decided I want my first bike to be an older (70s- early 80s) Japanese bike. Now, I've got a couple that I'm thinking of picking up but I...
