I see you're not running any linkage system with that shock? Are you sure it will have sufficient stiffness in this way? I'm also building a monoshock with an R1 shock, but an upright position like the one you're using here was complete useless. Sat down on it and immediately dropped 4 inches...
Turns out the shock doesn't really work out this way, gotta figure something else out. It's way to soft now.. Probably gonna make it stand more horizontal.
Despite the lack of interest in this topic I'll post an update anyway :P
Didn't take a lot of pics but the monoshock is pretty much installed. Needs some finishing on the welding.
As you can see there will be no space for the original carb, will be going for dual carbs instead.

I understand you're going to cover that, but I'm not sure if that's gonna make it look any better.. Really like your rearsets though and the exhaust as well.
I like your idea of building a cafe from a rebel. I'm currently doing something like that myself, although it might become a tracker or something. Still not sure.
But that heap of space you've got now between the seat and the original frame looks ridiculous.. I'm not sure a cover of some sorts...
