Is my cam timed correctly? Reassembling, first sl350 I have put together. Here's a few pictures
This is my engine at LT, L at top on cam sprocket, nub is up on points end, tension is on the cam.
I bought 4 of these from a bike shop that was going out of business, and only need 2. They're all new, the guy used 125cc motors instead of these on some Kikker 5150 bikes. $150 each.
I'm parting/selling a collection of SL70/CT70 parts bikes, and parting out my Honda ATC 200x (I have all the parts for the 200x, they're all on the shelves of my storage shed). Too much stuff to list prices, but I'd basically like to get $50 per bare frame and swingarm, for the SL and CT bikes...
It has come to the point that I think I would like to learn how to grind valve seats, and pick up some tools. I'm kind of poor (too poor to pay for all the valve jobs I need on all my toys), and I like doing things myself. I basically have a small atv/dirtbike graveyard full of lab rats to...
what's the smallest battery I can get away with and still get a spark on my cb77? I want to use a small SLA like you find in alarm systems and battery backups. 1.2AH? 2.2Ah? I've got a 35w Headlight and a 5w/10w tail, that's it, and they won't be on during startup.
Here's where I'm at with my CB77 Project. I picked it up earlier this year and I've been obsessing over it off and on. Managed to gather some nice parts over the year too. I have 3 superhawks now, 2 run, one doesn't (this one doesn't). Obviously I'm gonna put the best stuff on this one...
Throwing together a mock up of my cb77 and I'm trying to figure out if I should buy a hydraulic dampener or use the cb77 knob type dampener. Which works best?
Will the 350 scrambler Exhaust fit a cb77 305 superhawk? If it won't, I'll just have to put the rear cans and shields off a cl350 onto the CL305 headers.
I have a '60s 305 superhawk I just picked up. I'm having big trouble finding a generator cover. Does anyone know if one from a different bike will fit? Possibly from a cb350/360, or a cb750?
I got a 305 superhawk that's gonna need some parts. I was wondering if anyone knew about what swaps from the CB350/360? I'm gonna need rear shocks, outer hoops for the spoke wheels, left muffler, and possibly forks. Does all that swap?
I just got in a perfect CB360 speedo with trip, now I need tach. What Tach can I run on my '71 CL100? I prefer something with similar looks to the Speedometer. Here's the one I got...
I picked up a few bikes this weekend. 2 of them are early '80s XL 100s. Motor seems to be more like an XR75/xr80 style, but the bikes are mid sized, like my '74 XL100. The forks are the same diameter as my Project CL100, and they are spaced apart the same distance as my CL as well. The tree...
I'm looking at the broken speedometer on my CL100 project, and I'm considering getting a different style to replace it. I'm very interested in which speedometers from other bikes will swap on. I'm building a pretty strong XR200R/200x hybrid engine to go on this frame (only thing it's missing...
Well I'm stripping my CL100 down, and I've noticed that the front forks are bent. Seem to be bent back fairly equally. Do you guys think the lower tree is fine, or should I replace it too? I know the upper is fine.
I'm building a '71 CL 100 with a built 200x engine (couldn't get a good XR200). One area that needs some attention is the stock rear springs. I'm big enough that I hit bump stops sometimes. I have a rusty set of '78 XL75 springs laying around, tried them out, and they seem to work better...
