"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

Would you be surprised to know those wheelie bars are functional. I powder coated one of those for a customer and those things scream.

The "I deconstructed my fingers real quick" thread WARNING: Gore Pics

Ya, at 19 I was an idiot. Can't remember how many nights I left bars and woke up the next day not remembering ever leaving the bar. That's why I gave up drinking. I was not the owner of said bike nor did I have anything to do with the "theft". I learned of the 'theft" years after I got the...

The "I deconstructed my fingers real quick" thread WARNING: Gore Pics

Re: The "I deconstructed my fingers real quick" thread WARNING: Gore Pics The bike was totaled and ended up disappearing and an insurance claim was filed. The motor ended up in my go kart, which was wildly more fun than the bike was.

The "I deconstructed my fingers real quick" thread WARNING: Gore Pics

I feel for ya, I know how painful fingertips injuries can be. In the mid 70's I crashed a widow maker H2 500. I had scraps everywhere, fronts of my knees, backs of my knees, hips , ankles. The most painful were the finger tips that got ripped open, filled with road grim, and then covered back...

    Powdercoating questions.

It's most common to be at 400° for 10 minutes. But there is no truth to what they told you. Find another coater. Doesn't matter if it's aluminum or magnesium, the heat during cure will have no effect on the strength of the wheel.

    Clay Sculpting for Fibreglass

Look, I didn't come in here to stir up shit or troll. You posted a list of ingredients to make a batch that would yield about 12lbs of plastalina with no pricing. I checked pricing for those small amounts and came up with the $103 price. You came back and posted pricing of 100's of pounds of...

Would have been more wise to spend $4500 to have his own head examined. ::)

    Clay Sculpting for Fibreglass

No need to reply, but I didn't list the items or amounts to come up with that figure, so how do you know my math was wrong. I used the amounts needed in your list, sure you can make it cheaper per pound if you make 100lbs. My numbers were for making one batch of your ingredients and amounts...

    Clay Sculpting for Fibreglass

I must have misread the title to this thread of "Plastalina Sculpting for Fiberglass". The video shown used standard modeling clay, same shit my daughter uses. How is that not the right stuff for this application? I don't see where I did any math on my post so how can you comment on that being...

$6k went in the mechanics pocket because some people have more money than sense.

    Clay Sculpting for Fibreglass

I usually can find stuff on the internet cheaper than locally. After checking your ingredients I came to a total of around $103 for would looks like it would make 10-12lbs of clay. Then I found bulk clay for $30 for 10 lbs. I don't think you can make your own for less than what you would pay for...

    Clay Sculpting for Fibreglass

Lets say 6 hours a day at an average $50/hr shop labor, 12 days makes that diffuser worth $3600 before materials. So I figure that panel cost him $4k to make.

When I click the blue button it takes me to a page to download chrome. I already have chrome in my system. Now how to I connect that to anything related to PB?

    Photo bucket fixer

Call me dumb, but I can't figure out what to do after clicking on the link. Pretty vague as it doesn't look like anything connected to correct the PB issue. Can anyone walk me through the steps to take?

    1970 Triumph Tiger 650

Phuck Photobucket. Right after my last post I moved my powder coating operation to Ocala, Fla. for 5 months. Big mistake, after aggressively pounding that territory with advertising and hitting every car show, cruise in, bike shows, etc. of which there are many, after 5 months I had averaged...

    Comstar Powdercoating

If you sent the wheels to me to coat I would just remove the bolts and nuts at the hub and coat the wheel. Many Comstars have been coated in the past. Or remove just the cuts if they are Nylocs and replace them after coating using a thread locker. I would be extremely careful about burning off...
