Dual tower vs single tower ignition coil

I did a quick search and didn't find all information I was looking for so I figure I will ask. Recently I ran into some coil troubles I decided to go aftermarket and tried to use a dual tower 12v coil. From my research it seems with my bike initially running single coils this is a no go. So...

    Ignition coil meltdown

So I had some electrical trouble with my 79 gs425. My question is has anyone used an accel aftermarket coil set up for non cdi? I would love to stay original but price wise I just cant ( a new one from bike bandit is about 230 bucks) the 2 cylinder accel aftermarket is about 110. Any opinions on...

I'm getting ready to build a bracket racer and I figure I would document the journey. Starting off with a VT500C I picked up for 100 bucks. It's not much to look at but I guess in dragracing less is more right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Honda shadow 500

Alright so I am having issues getting a vt500c running properly. This thing will idle until it runs out of gas, but when you take it down the road it will bog down at about 3500. I can hear it missing on one side of the exhaust it's a v but has 4 cylinders. I thought it was bunked up carps so I...

    Electrical nightmare

Electrical nightmare Yes. The way that ground is set up it uses one leg to hop to another part of the bike that I didn't realize. Once I realized what I had done it was a oh dub moment.

    Electrical nightmare

Alright so I planned on doing some major renovations to my 79 gs425 this winter. Now that I am in the process of putting it back together I have run into some issues. I put the wiring harness back in today (just as it came out) and I can't get any lights. I can get voltage at all my connectors...

No starter switch = no start?

Sounds like your yellow red just engages the starter. So in theory you should be able to connect the black b/w and touch the red/yel together until it cranks and then release ( so you dont burn the starter up)Note: I did not look at the wiring diagram and am going on the presumption you did and...

Chain type for a Honda CB350

From what I have read the major difference is how they hold lubrication. So you dirt biking friend may love them because they keep the dirt from wearing the chain. Me personally I don't have a preference but you pay for what you get.
