Ok listen. I'm keeping this friendly but if ethanol isn't a problem (as in attracting water) which does cause problems ... Why are you running star tron then? There should be no reason for you to do so. I think you are reading way to far into my comments and assuming a lot of things, I...
Do you have any more info about that picture posted by the way with the belt drive alternator? I have heard about them but dont know my ass from my elbow in regards to them.
A big reason to switch to FI on a vintage bike in my mind is that you can run modern 10% ethanol fuel no problemo whatsoever. Im sick and tired of my dang fuel bowls/needles getting stuck.
I know a lot of people scratch their heads when thinking about FI, its not that crazy to figure out and its easy to setup on a car and if systems like megasquirt are able to work on a bike it seems like one of us needs to figure this stuff out. The main reason being is because the damn ethanol...
If you ask me the way to go would be doing an upgraded alternator to provide the proper voltage at idle to run FI. Then you can decide if throttle body injection or direct injection is what you want.
Just get in touch with Pete aka Pamco Pete. He provides great customer service. I believe you are mistaking the dyna ignition system with what Pete offers.
Hi Everyone,
Im trying to source a round taillight that I can mount directly onto my cafe seat. If you scroll down to the speedster seat on this website you will see what I am talking about. http://www.legendary-motorcycles.com/caferacerseats.html
I have seen lights like this but cant find...
Thanks!
I guess you could even just buy the battery tender. Disconnect the battery after every outing and if voltage from the battery is a little low, charge her up....
Cheers,
James
A lot more information on the Shorai battery site http://shoraipower.com/lfx14a2-bs12-p66
But it says....
"Shorai Batteries require a charging system output of 13.1 Volts or higher at idle, and must not exceed 15.2 volts at maximum output."
I believe the CB500K0 is under that unless Im mistaken.
The 4 cell will be fine to kick over your bike. Im not sure with the change in battery materials what it would mean to use a 8 cell over the 4 as a 4 cell can turn a car over and start it no problem, the big BUT is that the alternator kicks in right away and you have nothing to worry about...
