My Suzuki T350 Rebel is the same way... it has an oil injection system and although working, I'm afraid of it failing and causing a catastrophic failure. Can I plug the system and just run KLOTZ premix in it or is there more to the system than that?

On the Battery delete issue. I never run batteries. Small capacitor (commonly avail. on eBay for Triu/BSA's).
Wire it just as you would the battery. ONLY real issue is you may get some flickering of the headlight at idle...
