I am working on a 78 cb550 and am looking for some suggestions for the starting jet sizes. The bike has been over bored to 600cc and is running a cb650 cam. It will be fitted with pod style filters and exhaust will be 4-2 with reverse cone mufflers in the 16"-18" range.
Thanks for looking
I'm looking for a camshaft out of a cb650 SOHC. If any one is parting out one of these bikes let me know and we can work out price and payment.
Thanks.
So for any of you west coast folks out there June 27th and 28th there will be an AHRMA vintage motocross race and vintage weekend held in charming historic Oakland Oregon. There will be a lot of cool old motos, a MX track across open pasture land and a trials course right up the road. I...
I picked up an 81 cm400 from the back room at my local Honda shop about three years ago. This bike when finished is intended for my wonderful fiancé. The going has been slow as I have been in school and time and cash were tight but now I am finished with school and working. So hopefully I finish...
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for other riders and builders in the Sacramento area Chico area and anywhere in between. I spend my time split between Oroville and Sacramento. I would like to meet some new people that are into having fun riding/building motorcycles. I have managed to meet some very...
I got tired of relying on a battery and electric starter so I dropped the engine out of my cm450 and installed a kick starter. I used the transmission , kick starter assembly and right side cover from a cb400t. I also did all the inspection maintenance and parts replacement while i had the...
Has anyone ever removed the balancer weights and shaft from cm400 engine and ran it that way? If you have was it good? bad? other? I have heard of people doing this but have never heard a first hand account of it beyond an old race bike builder i met a year or so back.
I have a good condition cm400/450A stator. I bought this bad boy by mistake and would like to sell it to someone that can use it. This part is for the automatic engine varieties of the early 80's cm series of bikes. If any of you out there have a stator from the cm/cb 400-450 twin manual engine...
Does anyone know if a cm400A stator will work for the manual versions of the cm/cb450 engins. The pickup seems to be different but I have no idea about what effect that may have on the timing of ignition. If any one knows pleas let me know.
I have a kickstart shaft and gear for a honda cb500t. I picked it up for $20 and would like to get that back out of it. Or trade for the shaft and gear out of a cb400t.
