I don't have a manual as of yet. Last night I took the clutch plates off. They were pretty stuck but don't seem to be in bad shape. I scuffed them up a bit with some 320 grit and have them soaking in oil. I'm going to put it all back together in the morning and see if that clutch lever loosens...
That was the plan when I got it. Wanted to have her sounding great by Thanksgiving....but last night was the first time I got to crank her and she started right up! Not only did she start up, but she sounds amazing! Much better than I thought I would get with those carbs...even though I dipped...
Has anyone replaced the clutch cable with a hydraulic clutch on an xs400? I have found where plenty of people have done it to xs650's but not the 400. Please forgive me if this is a repost I could not find or if this is in the wrong place.
