'80 CB750c DOHC mild not wild

Started working on a bike for my friend who wants to start riding with the group. He picked this bike up for next to nothing and had some pretty interesting design ideas but i dig it so far. Here are some before and afters. Still waiting on carb boots to mount them back up.

    cb seven fifty rc42

You can buy pre-bent rear "hoops" based on the distance between your existing shock mounts. I would just weld straight tubing from the backbone to the rear hoop.

    CB750k seat on a CB750F (sohc)?

You're pretty much spot on. I read wrong and thought the hinges were the same on earlier models and changed on the later ones but its the other way around. The seat does interfere with the tank since the tank is longer.

1976 CB750 super sport brake pad options.

Luckily I have another bike for riding hard, the weight of this bike plus 2 up riding concerns me though. Having front and rear disks helps too, the rear brake on these F models has some serious stopping power- that disk is massive haha.

1976 CB750 super sport brake pad options.

ok thanks, iv always gone with sintered/semi metallic. i know those kevlar organic pads need to be beaten pretty hard to get to operating temps. im just concerned with metallics that have the wrong composition (too much brass?) they can eat these older rotors up pretty fast from what i hear. I...

1976 CB750 super sport brake pad options.

When looking for new pads for my front brake I'm finding one million different brands and materials. Anybody have a good brand that is maybe better than Honda nos pads. I want to change the pads and hone the rotor and maybe wont need SS lines on there.

    72-76 CB750k stock seat

Did you remove your stock seat to put on a fiberglass cafe racer seat or a dime city brat seat?! Dont have any use for the stock seat anymore?! Guess what? Im looking for one!!!! Preferably a complete seat but I would take a pan or pan/foam so long as its not rotted out.

    CB750k seat on a CB750F (sohc)?

Correct! It is a different foam/cover on a stock F seat pan. I have a K model fender/tail light that will go on also.

    CB750k seat on a CB750F (sohc)?

I have been searching around and from what i can tell, the K model seat should be a direct fit onto my F model even with the F model tank but have not heard of anyone actually doing it. Before I go ahead with this, has anyone had first hand experience doing this? Basically will the F tank and K...

    76 CB750 super sport

I boroscoped the tank, looked like it was just a line of rust along the bottom seam. Cleaned the tank with soap and hot water, rinsing all the loose bits of rust out. I got a jug of metal rescue from home depot and let it sit in the tank for a day, came out nice and clean. Its all back together...
