Yep thay dont get much easyer to work on. Factory parts are available for a price. One cool thing is parts swap across many years. except with the R65, some what unique for eng. parts. Have ya been to rockerboxer.com ?

Good eye ;) I'm up to my ears in projects. Just got my 944 back on the road. The 510 been my Solo race toy hoping to get the lights back in it so I can drive on the street. She'd surprise a lot of camaros at the stop light its got a 2.5 L engine crazy fast :o
As I go through the garage I find more stuff to sell. I have three bike projects that need parts for this winters work time. The fairing is a Ducati replica sells on clubmanracing.com for 279.00 no damage but the screen has a small crack thats been stop drilled, I have a source for replacements...

OK the adj clipon are 35.814mm ID I think that going to make them 36 My mistake Sorry While I was at the shop I found another set. These will clamp on a leg thats 34.925. That should be a 35 These are a fixed angle so I'd sell then 20. bucks.

The only time you need to worry about the width is if your going to race in AHRMA or the AMA s new vintage class. Goodyear and Maxxis are the most popular tires for dirt track and theres more available in the wider sizes. A good site for used bikes and parts is vft.org
I raced my triumph a few years ago. Its pretty easy to get into. This year I got back in to racing with a Bultaco Astro. The TT/XT 500 Yamahas are a good starter bike lots of them at the track. Thay dont need much to race them. The big thing is the tires dirt track tires are 19" front and rear...
The Astro master cyl is a Brembo I got from staracerframes.com or try flattrackaccessories.com. I have one I got at a salvage yard that may work for ya.
